His Divine Grace A. C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada says that in this age there is no better way of spiritual realization other than the chanting of the Hare Krishna Mahamantra.

This because His Divine Grace says is due to the Mahamantra being sourced from the spiritual platform which is above the sense, mental and intellectual platforms which are all material.  The source is reached via the pure devotee of the Lord.  [Intermission?: click http://www.racism.info]  

The word "Hare" in the Mahamantra is the supreme pleasure energy of the Lord.  "Hare" helps us reach the Lord.  His Divine Grace says it is just like a baby crying for mother who then reveals the father to the baby.  The words "Hare," "Krishna," and "Rama" are the 'transcendental seeds' for protecting the conditioned living entity.  

The Mahamantra is capable of delivering the living entity to the Lord.  His Divine Grace also explains why the living entities are conditioned.  The reason is as they are between the superior and inferior energies, i.e. they are marginal, so when they come into contact with the inferior energy or maya, the consciousness is polluted and they become trapped to the very hard laws of nature.  [Intermission?: click http://www.racism.info]

However, if the living entities come into contact with the superior energy of the Lord the true unpolluted consciousness is revived.  The Mahamantra is the superior energy of the Lord as it is sourced from the spiritual platform.  When the living entity chants they are freed from maya's illusion and can go back to Godhead, back to Krishna.  [Intermission?: click http://www.racism.info]
